the challenge
This mine runs 24/7 and uses all the available electricity to its full capacity. As the mine expands and increases production, the energy demand increases. The company has also committed to a carbon reduction target by 2030, primarily impacting energy supply, energy efficiency and the mobile plant.
The solution
Through an on-site Opportunity Assessment (OA) our engineering team identified:
- 3 project opportunities around mine ventilation, pump systems and blower systems
- 2 monitoring and research opportunities for compressed air and portable plant electrification
- 2 operational tuning opportunities for the crush and concentrator plants
Implementing our data analytics platform allowed our solution engineers to show which opportunities would have the best financial benefit for the customer and take the next step to implementation.
