A large, complex site with highly interconnected thermal energy flows. The site has 24/7 operations and strict food safety requirements to adhere to, creating challenges which can make access for project work difficult.
The solution
The site had no single silver bullet for energy reductions on site, and rolled out a series of targeted energy efficiency projects. The key savings came from the refrigeration and compressor systems as significant energy users on site.
The results
Total annual savings of $267k per year brought about through approximately 10 key implemented opportunities.
